Paul Cramer had four goals and an assist to lead Huron past Yankton 7-3 in boys’ varsity hockey action on Saturday at Alcoa Arena.

Eric Miner had a goal and three assists in the victory.

For Yankton, Austin Barger scored two goals to lead the way. Jacob Hubbs scored the other goal. Patrick Weinandt and Trey Bakke added assists.

Tyler Sterrett stopped 13 shots for Huron in the win. Cristian Slate made 40 saves for Yankton.

Yankton travels to Watertown on Saturday, Dec. 27.

JV BOYS — HURON 6, YANKTON 0: Logan DeJean had two goals and two assists to lead Huron past Yankton 6-0 in JV boys’ hockey action on Saturday.

Jackson Hook had two goals, and Joshua Krech had a goal and an assist in the win.

Dillon Peterson stopped 21 shots to preserve the shutout in goal. Brady Taggart made 26 saves for Yankton.

Yankton travels to Watertown on Saturday, Dec. 27; then hosts Sioux Center, Iowa on Sunday, Dec. 28.

JV GIRLS — MITCHELL 8, YANKTON 0: MITCHELL — The Mitchell Marlins continued their mastery of Yankton with an 8-0 victory over the Miracle on Saturday.

Isabel Bathke and Maggie Dailey each had two goals, and Ashley Zimmer had three assists for Mitchell, which scored its second win over Yankton this season. The Marlins are the only team to have beaten the Miracle so far this season (five games).

Katelyn Uithoven stopped three shots for the shutout in goal. Renee Cross made 17 saves for Yankton.

Yankton travels to Sioux Falls on Sunday, Dec. 28.

BANTAM — YANKTON 6-5, SIOUX CENTER 1-3: SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — Yankton improved to 5-2 with a pair of victories over Sioux Center, Iowa in bantam hockey action on Saturday.

In the opener, a 6-1 victory, Yankton outshot Sioux Center 12-1 in the first period, outscoring the Tornadoes 4-0 in the frame.

For Yankton, Jack Schoenfelder had two goals and an assist, and Jace Kapla had two goals to lead the way. Dillon Barger and Jaxson Erickson also had goals. Nicholas Lehl, Isaac Klimisch and Thomas Stewart had assists in the win.

Isaac Bartels scored the lone Sioux Center goal.

Isaac Nedved made 11 saves for Yankton in the win. Alex Koops stopped 11 shots for Sioux Center.

In the nightcap, Yankton scored the final two goals of the game to break a tie in a 5-3 victory.

Klimisch scored two goals and Erickson had a goal and two assists to lead Yankton. Kapla had a goal and an assist. Thomas Stewart scored the other goal. Lehl had two assists, and Schoenfelder and Reid Dutrow had an assist each in the win.

For Sioux Center, Freddy Bullock scored two goals.

Caleb List made 14 saves for Yankton in the win. Koops stopped 26 saves for Sioux Center.

Yankton hosts Rushmore for a three-game set Dec. 27-28.

PEEWEE B — YANKTON 3-4, HURON 3-4: HURON — Yankton played Huron to a pair of ties in PeeWee ‘B’ hockey action on Saturday. The first game finished 3-3, while the second finished at 4-4.

In the opener, Brody Burgeson, Luke Schulz and Nate Bohnsack scored for Yankton. Glenn Andersen and Christian Budig had assists. Ryan Eichacker stopped 26 shots in goal.

In the nightcap, Steven Dempsey had a goal and an assist, and Budig, Anderson and Schulz had goals for Yankton. Burgeson also had an assist. Eichacker made 30 saves for the Miracle.

Yankton hosts Rushmore for two games, Dec. 27-28.

PEEWEE C — SIOUX CENTER 3-7, YANKTON 2-1: Sioux Center swept Yankton in PeeWee ‘C’ hockey action on Saturday.

In the opener, a 3-2 decision, Yankton got two goals from Austin Wagner. Gaige Koster had an assist. Christopher Sternhagen made 53 saves for the Miracle.

In the nightcap, a 7-1 decision, Wagner scored the lone goal. Sternhagen made 42 saves.

Yankton hosts Rushmore for two games, Dec. 27-28.
