The skating programs at the Kiwanis/4H Ice Rink are growing every year providing incredible and affordable opportunities for youth of all ages and skill levels. This growth is possible only through the generous support of organizations like the Press & Dakotan and the kids and Yankton Area Ice Association really appreciate your interest, care and support! Pictured receiving the donation to the Yankton Area Ice Association from P&D owner/publisher Gary Wood (right) is hockey coach and founding member Terry Pederson, along with the energetic and playful Mite and MiniMite squad (boys and girls aged 5-8) and their volunteer coaches. YAIA is an all-volunteer non-profit organization with coaches, family members, rink, registration and concession managers donating countless valuable hours of their time and care so that area youth have the opportunity to enjoy, grow and develop in both Hockey and figure-skating. It is directly because of the generous support of organizations like the Yankton Daily Press & Dakotan that we are able to achieve this goal. The kids, member families and Board of Directors greatly appreciate this contribution.
