Volunteers

One of the primary goals of YAIA is to make ice recreation available at the lowest cost possible. We achieved this goal through the fantastic support of our figure skating and hockey families who volunteer countless hours through the year. Coaches, concession managers, ticket takers, announcers, and Zamboni drivers are volunteers who give their time to ensure the kids have a safe, clean and affordable environment to skate in.

Volunteering hours are assigned to each family in our association, but how they volunteer can take on many forms. Annually, we have needs for the following positions:

Assistant Coaches
Coaches
Committee Positions (board, tournaments and others)
Concession Managers
Concession Workers
Costumers
Equipment Maintenance
Event Workers (announcers, scorers, penalty box & security)
Facility Maintenance
Outdoor snow removal
Ticket Takers
Team Parents
Zamboni resurfacing
